Launched the PETRONAS Syntium range of lubricants in Japan
Completed the acquisition of the entire interst in FL Selenia SpA, Europe’s largest independent producer and marketer of branded automotive lubricants and specialist fluids, marking the beginning of a new and exciting milestone in PETRONAS’ continuous efforts in building and enhancing its global lubricants business
Through subsidiary Engen Limited, PETRONAS acquired Shell’s 60% stake in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) oil company’s petroleum business as well as a 13% stake in a DRC petroleum distributor as part of its growth strategy in the African sub-Saharan territory.
Increased its equity holding in the APA Group to become the single largest shareholder in one of Australia’s biggest energy transmission and distribution company.
