PETRONAS Presents 'Demi Cinta'

KUALA LUMPUR, 30 August 2021 – To celebrate this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day, PETRONAS is proud to present “Demi Cinta”, a heartfelt ballad specially dedicated to all Malaysians.  

The uplifting, animated four-minute music video represents the story of every Malaysian going through individual hardship - and collective hope - in facing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic 

It features four main characters from four different backgrounds having to face and overcome their own challenges during these tough times. Their pent-up disappointment, sadness and hope are conveyed through the song. Motivated by love - for their families, friends, and fellow Malaysians - each character pushes through the difficulties for a brighter and hopeful future for their children.  

In line with its 2021 festive theme ‘Stories of Joy’, PETRONAS aims to bring forth the hope of every Malaysian through the song. It also serves as a reminder that no matter what happens, we will get through it all, together. 

PETRONAS’ Senior General Manager of Group Strategic Communications, Datin Anita Azrina Abdul Aziz said, “The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of us in so many ways and on so many levels. However, these difficult times have also brought Malaysians from all walks of life closer together, proving once again that our diversity is what makes Malaysia the country we know and love.
