Identity Fraud Against a PETRONAS Employee
Kuala Lumpur, 1 October 2019 - It has come to our attention that an individual alleging to be an employee of PETRONAS, has been executing transactions for electrical items which are claimed to be procured for PETRONAS.
We wish to alert members of the public that this is an ongoing scam. Please note that no such transaction has been made by PETRONAS or any of its employees.
We appeal to the public not to succumb to this scam. Neither PETRONAS nor its subsidiaries are involved or associated in any way with these transactions.
Relevant authorities have been informed of this matter.
