The approach led to a notable reduction in fuel gas consumption, helping to lower operational costs and significantly decrease carbon emissions over the course of a year, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.
The 'Sustainable Plant of The Year' was awarded to Pengerang Cogeneration Plant (PCP) by Asian Downstream Summit Award 2024. This positioned PIC as a competitive player in the energy market in Asia, enabling the petrochemical complex to deliver cost-effective energy solutions and offer significant advantages for investors and the wider petrochemical industry.
Digital Plants of the future is set to transform the overall operations and reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase revenues. PIC clinched the prestigious Asian Downstream Summit Award 2019 in the category of 'Best Digital Transformation Programme'.

The Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) achieved a world record by clocking up 112,281,090 safe manhours in 2019, earning a spot in the Guinness World Records for the 'Most Zero Lost Time in Manhours – Petroleum Industry'. This was achieved through excellent HSSE management and stringent enforcement.
