We have been made aware of a letter on a fake PETRONAS letterhead bearing forged signatures of PETRONAS leaders being circulated to companies requesting them to place an advertisement in "Forbes Industrial” magazine, purportedly in conjunction with an editorial feature on PETRONAS.
We wish to inform that neither PETRONAS nor any of its subsidiaries within the Group of Companies has authorised such a letter or any other advertising solicitation and appeal to recipients of the letter not to respond to it.

It has come to our attention that an individual alleging to be an employee and consultant of PETRONAS in China had organised business meetings under the names “PETRONAS Specialty Chemical” or “Industry Park investment project”.
We wish to alert members of the public that this is a scam, and the individual does not represent PETRONAS’ interests whether as an employee or a consultant. Relevant authorities have been informed of this matter and investigations are currently ongoing.

PETRONAS has been made aware of the unauthorised use of our Company name and logo in the promotion of investment platforms on the Internet.
These investment schemes purport to provide opportunities to profit by investing in "PETRONAS shares" with amounts ranging from RM1,000 to RM4,000, or generate a second-income with just a fee of $250.
We appeal to the public not to respond to these schemes.
Neither PETRONAS nor any of our subsidiaries within the Group of Companies are involved or associated in any way with these websites and social media accounts.

PETRONAS has been made aware of a scam website post offering a 'new year gift' in the form of monetary compensation for answering a questionnaire.
We wish to inform that neither PETRONAS nor any of our subsidiaries within the Group of Companies are involved in this "survey", and we appeal to the public not to respond or take part.

PETRONAS has been made aware of the circulation of a fraudulent letter and a supporting document purportedly from our management advising the next-of-kin recipient(s) to pay a certain amount of money to PETRONAS for damages caused by their late relative(s) while performing work for PETRONAS.
The damage compensation must be paid before PETRONAS could release to the next-of-kin the “contract funds” owed to the late relative(s).
PETRONAS would like to inform that this is another form of scam by irresponsible individual(s) and advise members of the public not to respond to the documents.
PETRONAS has communicated with the authorities on this matter.

PETRONAS has been made aware of a scam online “survey” conducted supposedly in conjunction with “PETRONAS' 50th Anniversary”.
We wish to inform that neither PETRONAS nor any of our subsidiaries within the Group of Companies are involved in this “survey”, and we appeal to the public not to respond or take part.
PETRONAS has been made aware of unauthorised use of our Company’s logo as well as a mention of our Company in a video of an allegedly former PETRONAS staff who benefitted from what could appear to be a gambling scheme.
We wish to alert members of the public the content of the video is false, untrue and completely baseless. It is probably a scam devised by unscrupulous individuals or parties.
We appeal to the public not to respond to this scam on WhatsApp or possibly other social media platforms and wish to stress that the claims made in the video are fraudulent and was maliciously published.
In addition, neither PETRONAS nor any of our subsidiaries within the Group of Companies, are involved or associated in any way, with the circulated content.
PETRONAS is also communicating with the relevant authorities on this matter.
It has come to our attention that an inpidual alleging to be an employee of PETRONAS, has been executing transactions for electrical items which are claimed to be procured for PETRONAS.
We wish to alert members of the public that this is an ongoing scam. Please note that no such transaction has been made by PETRONAS or any of its employees.
We appeal to the public not to succumb to this scam. Neither PETRONAS nor its subsidiaries are involved or associated in any way with these transactions.

It has come to our attention of an online news report fraudulently associating PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) MD/CEO, Datuk Sazali Hamzah in an investment scheme via an automated bitcoin trading platform.
We wish to alert members of the public of this fraudulent claim.
PETRONAS, its subsidiaries and personnel are not involved or associated in any way with the investment scheme and relevant authorities have been informed.

It has come to our attention that an email purporting to be from PETRONAS mail is in circulation, requesting for quotations on one of PETRONAS projects. Please note that no such request has been made by PETRONAS.
Our investigation confirms that the email is spoofed and its attachment contains miscellaneous file. Email spoofing is the forgery of an email header or address so that the email appears to have originated from someone or somewhere other than the actual source.
As a precaution, we urge that you DO NOT respond to the email, click on any links, or open any attachments contained within the email.

PETRONAS has been made aware of unauthorized inpiduals or organisations falsely using the PETRONAS and PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd’s (“PRPC UF”) name and letterhead in relation to the construction of an Integrated Healthcare Facilities (“IHF”) and Temporary Workers Accommodation (“TWA”) in PIC.
PETRONAS and its group of companies would like to alert members of the public that they are not undertaking the construction of or any new TWA in PIC. We further wish to inform that we do not appoint third party inpiduals, companies, organisations or firms as representative(s) or agents or middlemen to represent, act, negotiate or conduct on our behalf in any business dealings or contracts related to any of our projects in PIC and Pengerang, Johor.

- No money transfers or payments of any kind will EVER be requested from applicants nor by PETRONAS or any of the agencies that recruit on our behalf, at any point in the recruitment process; or for immigration documents, insurance, or any other purpose.
