- Industrial: A crucial starting material for manufacturing plastics, resins, and synthetic fibres. For example, it's used to create caprolactam for Nylon 6 (in clothing and plastics) and acrylonitrile for acrylic fibres and plastics like ABS. It also serves as a refrigerant for industrial cooling systems and is used in household cleaning products.
