PETRONAS Gas Berhad Reaffirms Its Commitment in Delivering Sustainable Value and Growth
KUALA LUMPUR, 23 APRIL 2024 – PETRONAS Gas Berhad Group of Companies (PGB or the Group) reaffirms its commitment to ensure sustainable value creation from its existing core businesses while pursuing growth. This includes securing more high impact projects by leveraging on PGB’s core competencies as well as other industryadjacent opportunities. These were shared during PGB’s 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was held earlier today to present the Company’s 2023 performance to its shareholders.
 
The Group’s efforts in upholding its strength, resilience, and sustainability in the face of challenging environment are anchored on its strategic agenda i.e. pursuing growth while sustaining commercial, project and operational excellence. Concurrently, PGB is also embedding sustainability into every facet of its decision-making processes, aligning the priorities of economic growth and sustainable development as of equal importance at all levels.
 
PGB Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), Abdul Aziz Othman highlighted on the Group’s 2023 strong financial results at the AGM. “The Group’s Profit After Tax rose by 8.1% compared to the previous year, achieving RM1.9 billion. Backed by improved performance, the Group declared total dividends of 72 sen per share”. He added, “Despite the constant challenging environment, we are optimistic in delivering another resilient performance as we focus our efforts moving forward”.
 
The virtual AGM was chaired by PGB Chairman, Adnan Zainol Abidin, alongside MD/CEO, Abdul Aziz Othman, Senior Independent Director, Farina Farikhullah Khan, and Chief Financial Officer, Shahrul Azham Sukaiman. The rest of board members attended the event virtually.
