PETRONAS confirms an incident occurred around 2am on 4 January 2022 involving an unmanned vessel that was adrift near its offshore facilities, located about 173 nautical miles (321km) off the coast of Kerteh, Terengganu.
PETRONAS took immediate and all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our personnel and assets as well as to mitigate the situation.
Our Emergency Response Team worked together with the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency to successfully manage the incident.
