To all PETRONAS Contractors
Pursuant to the Government of Malaysia’s announcement on Movement Control Order (“Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan”) from 18 March 2020 until 31 March 2020, under the Prevention & Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this Notice serves to inform that in ensuring the continuity of business critical operations during the Movement Control Order, PETRONAS is imposing RESTRICTED ACCESS TO ALL PETRONAS’ OFFICES, FACILITIES AND SITES to Visitors and Contractors, as follows :
- NO ACCESS is allowed to PETRONAS’ offices, administrative sites and facilities including plants, warehouses and other related sites. No access is allowed for visitors and/or contractors including attending meetings, delivery of goods and performing of services.
- EXCEPTION to access will only be granted subject to criticality of services or goods for PETRONAS’ operation and business continuity requirement.
The relevant OPU/Entity will notify in writing only to those contractors who are required to deliver such products or perform services during the Movement Control Order period at such appointed date and time to those sites or places as instructed, subject to the contractors complying to (including but not limited to):
- Mandatory temperature screening.
- Health declaration.
- Relevant PETRONAS Directives on COVID-19.
- Observance of social distancing.
Those contractors who do not receive any notice, please note that delivery of products and/or performance of services are to be deferred until further notice.
Notwithstanding, health and safety of the personnel are of utmost importance. In this regard, please take all the necessary precaution as may be appropriate until advised otherwise by the Government of Malaysia, to ensure that such essential business continue in a safe manner.
