A helicopter carrying six personnel employed by a PETRONAS contractor ditched about 159 km offshore Bintulu at about 7.45 am, today.
All six personnel, the pilot and the co-pilot of the helicopter are safe.
The incident occurred when the helicopter was about to make a controlled landing aboard a vessel carrying out seismic work.
PETRONAS is extending all necessary assistance to the affected personnel.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
We will release more information on this matter as soon as we are in the position to do so.
