PETRONAS, Sabah Government Celebrate Local Oil and Gas Vendors

KOTA KINABALU, 2 November 2022 – PETRONAS and the Sabah State Government today celebrated the achievements of local vendors and service providers that have supported the growth of the oil and gas industry in the State.

PETRONAS President and Group CEO Datuk Tengku Muhammad Taufik (third from right) handing over a token of appreciation to one of the vendors at the Vendor Commemoration Ceremony in Kota Kinabalu on 2 November 2022, witnessed by State Minister of Local Government and Housing who is also State Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun (third from left) and State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Sr Haji Safar Untong (left).

A total of 10 PETRONAS vendors from Sabah were presented tokens of appreciation as a symbolic commemoration of the success of their companies, witnessed by State Minister of Local Government and Housing and State Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun and PETRONAS President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Tengku Muhammad Taufik.

The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the inaugural Sabah-PETRONAS Annual Strategic Dialogue(ASD) 2022, a key platform to strengthen collaboration between PETRONAS and the Sabah State Government in the oil and gas industry.

Through this platform, both parties are committed towards enhancing a stable, conducive business and investment environment for the industry’s sustainable growth in the State.

The Sabah State Government and PETRONAS are committed to creating values that support economic growth and ensuring the resilience of the local Oil and Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) ecosystem.
