Kuala Lumpur, 28 April 2023 – PETRONAS wishes to confirm that its sole Malaysian employee in the Republic of the Sudan has been safely evacuated from Khartoum together with 29 other Malaysians and arrived in Malaysia today.
PETRONAS worked closely with Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all the relevant agencies to ensure this safe and smooth evacuation.
PETRONAS’ Sudanese employees and their families are safe outside of Khartoum.
PETRONAS continues to closely monitor the situation, as the safety and well-being of all personnel remains a priority.
