PETRONAS received multiple awards at the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards 2025, through our leadership academy, PETRONAS Leadership Centre (PLC) and our learning institution, Institut Teknologi PETRONAS (INSTEP).

Gold Award - Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Programme category: PLC received Gold for its Foundational Leadership (FL) Programme, in recognition of the strong collaborative efforts to strengthen leadership at PETRONAS by inspiring resilience, emotional intelligence and adaptability across all levels of the organisation.

Gold Award - Best Certification Programme category: INSTEP received the Gold Award through its OPITO Global 2 Training Certificate, a structured and internationally benchmarked solution designed to address the widening gap between industry expectations and workforce readiness.

Silver Award - Best Learning in the Flow of Work category: INSTEP was honoured with the Silver Award in this category for its programme, “PEMA: Capability Building in the Flow of Work” which focuses on preparing participants as a foundation towards becoming well-rounded Engineering Managers.

Silver Award - Best Business Strategy category: INSTEP earned Silver for its three-year strategy centred on reskilling and upskilling employees, promoting diversity and inclusion, fostering innovation and agility, and ensuring sustainability.

Bronze Award - Best Competencies and Skill Development category: INSTEP secured Bronze in this category for the PETRONAS Decarbonisation Programme, which equips personnel to deliver asset-by-asset decarbonisation initiatives aligned with PETRONAS' Net Zero Carbon Emission 2050 pathway
