PETRONAS Presents 'Virunthu', a Celebration of Love and Togetherness

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 October 2025 – In conjunction with this year’s Deepavali celebration, PETRONAS proudly presents ‘Virunthu’ (Taste of Love), a heartfelt film that honours the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to fill every celebration with warmth, joy and unity. 

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ismail Kamarul, ‘Virunthu’ carries on PETRONAS’ tradition of meaningful festive storytelling that celebrates the values and spirit of unity we share as Malaysians. 

The film follows Shalini, who is hosting her first Deepavali celebration at home. Immersed in the bustle of the kitchen, she becomes so focused on making everything perfect that she forgets to enjoy the company of her loved ones. Her mother’s gentle presence brings her a quiet moment of reflection and a reminder of what truly matters, amidst the celebration.
