Our extensive fuel retail network, along with our expanding non-fuel portfolio feature approximately 900 strategically located Kedai Mesra convenience stores, designed to deliver an unparalleled customer experience.

We have expanded our non-fuel portfolio even further. Our Café Mesra, caters to our customers’ needs beyond just fuel, available at selected PETRONAS stations and beyond.

Our innovative Setel App, Malaysia’s first mobile application for a seamless on-the-go refuelling and more, takes our pursuit to provide greater convenience to the next level. Launched in 2019, Setel is now packed with more features and services including parking payment, motor insurance, auto assistance, to further enhance customers’ experience wherever they are.

Our commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices continues to drive our pursuit to shape pathways that protect the future for our business, stakeholders, and the communities where we operate.

Along with greater focus on sustainability, we are making steady progress in many areas especially in clean energy ventures. Together with our strategic partners, we have expanded the network of electric vehicle chargers at our stations. We also pioneered the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in the country to support the aviation industry’s decarbonisation efforts.

Our Sustainability Efforts

PETCO, via the PETRONAS Marine Brand is driving change towards a low carbon future, while committing itself to long term value creation by supplying LNG as a clean bunkering alternative to ships. This move will help support the International Maritime Organisation’s 2020 goal to cut down sulphur oxide emission and reduce pollution at ports.

Upholding the clean energy agenda to cut down emissions, we are developing a Greenfield bio-refinery and co-processing facility to produce SAF for the aviation industry, and Renewable Diesel/Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO) for on-road vehicles to drive green mobility.

In support of local communities and entrepreneurs, integral to our business, we champion the Love Local programme to create greater awareness of local brands with Kedai Mesra as a platform to showcase their products. We also provide vendors with guidance covering several areas such as pricing strategy, product presentation, merchandising rules, logistics and distribution.

Similarly, to support the livelihood of local farmers and fisherman, the Segar@Mesra campaign in collaboration with various government agencies has helped to connect them directly with customers, while ensuring customers have access to affordable produce. This initiative is available at more than 40 PETRONAS stations in Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak.

We continue our collaboration with Alam Flora Sdn Bhd for drive-through recycling initiatives at selected PETRONAS stations, collecting recyclable items from customers and the local community.

The Engen Maths and Science School programme has been helping underprivileged children to realise their potential for over 35 years. The programme consists of 11 centres across South Africa provides extra tuition in maths and science to 1,800 underprivileged leaners aged 16 to 18-years old annually.

Engen’s support of the Caring4Girls feminine hygiene initiative since 2018 also saw approximately 25,000 female learners receiving sanitary towel support, so that they do not miss school due to feminine hygiene issues.
